Royal Dahlman awarded gas filter for production bio-based chemicals
Royal Dahlman awarded the design and delivery of critical hot gas filters for production process producing MEG from Biomass
A new process has been developed by a reputed and leading Scandinavian licensor providing the industry a solution for cracking of sugars to an intermediary product which can be further converted to mono ethylene glycol (MEG) or other chemicals. Current processes to produce MEG from biomass involve several steps. In the new process this is reduced to two simple steps. The new solution brings down investment costs and boosts productivity to a level, where it can compete on commercial terms with traditional production from fossil feedstock (naphtha). Royal Dahlman has been selected, based on its renowned reputation and references, for the delivery of two critical process filters in this project.
